Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-06-03

At Base64 Shuttle, your privacy is our core value. This Privacy Policy explains our approach to data collection and processing when you use base64.shuttlelab.org.

Information We Collect

Base64 Shuttle does not collect, store, or transmit any of your input data or personal information. All encoding and decoding operations occur entirely within your web browser using native JavaScript APIs (btoa, atob, TextEncoder, TextDecoder, DOM manipulation). Your data never leaves your device.

Local Storage

Base64 Shuttle uses your browser's localStorage to store your preferences, such as theme selection (light/dark/system) and language settings (English/Chinese). This data remains on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

No Server Processing

Unlike traditional online encoding tools, Base64 Shuttle performs all operations locally in your browser. There is no server-side processing, no data uploads, and no temporary storage on remote servers. This design ensures complete privacy for your data.

Third-Party Services

Base64 Shuttle is hosted on Cloudflare for content delivery. Cloudflare may collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, access time) as part of normal CDN operation. We do not use analytics trackers, advertising networks, or any other third-party services that collect user data.

Cookies

Base64 Shuttle does not use cookies. All user preferences are stored in localStorage, which is not transmitted to our servers.

Children's Privacy

Base64 Shuttle does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Since we do not collect any personal data at all, our service is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be reflected in the 'Last updated' date above. Your continued use of Base64 Shuttle after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
